As a user of The College of Social Work blog you agree to the Terms of Use below. Please note that The College of Social Work reserves all the rights to amend the Terms of Use at any time without notice.

1. The College reserves the right and continual licence to use, handle and reproduce any material posted on its blog, in every form including electronic and print.
2. All content posted on The College’s blog should be for private non-commercial use only. Any adverts or promotional material that is considered ‘profit making’ will be removed by the moderator, with the exception of the promotion of conferences or meetings, which contribute to social workers’ professional development.
3. You agree not to use the Blog to:

• post any content that would infringe any UK or EU laws
• post any content that contravenes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights of any person or entity
• collect personal data about other users for any public or personal use
• post any content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, derogatory, profane, discriminatory or hateful
• post any content that is fraudulent or unlawful
• post any content that is invasive of another person’s privacy
• post any content that provokes or encourages violence or is racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable
• post any content that may damage the reputation of The College
• provide any links to any websites that breach these Terms of Use
• post any material that contains software viruses, code, files or programs created to interrupt, damage or destroy the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.

The College reserves the right to remove all material that is considered in breach of these guidelines. The College is not obliged to give any notice or warning of such action. Please note that any legal action taken against you by the authorities is beyond The College’s jurisdiction.

4. The College encourages users to report any misuse of the blog directly by emailing collegeinfo@scie.org.uk 
5. The blog requires users to be over the age of 18.
6. The College reserves all copyright in all content (both text and graphics). You may not re-design, re-produce, re-publish, or re-present this content in any format without the prior requested permission of The College.
7. Blog users or third parties may provide links to other World Wide Web sites or resources. Because The College has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that The College is not responsible for the reliability of information provided on these external web sites. The College does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials available on such sites or taken from such resources.
8. You commit to discharge The College from all the liability if you infringe the Terms of Use. You also fully commit to indemnify all the costs, claims or damages incurred as a result of your harmless behaviour that can be seen breaching of Terms of Use.
9. You also acknowledge that The College is not liable for any social work related information appearing on the blog, unless directly posted by a member of The College team.
10. In the event of hardware failure a system restore will follow and the risk of lost items can occur. No out of office hours support will be provided.
