Media Centre

The media centre for social work is hosted by The College of Social Work. It works to promote the voice of the social work profession in the local and national media. It is the first port of call for journalists whenever social work is in the news.

For journalists

Contact us on 020 7024 6850 if you are a print, broadcast or online local or national journalist and need a background briefing on a social work topic, need to speak to a social work expert or a front line social worker about a major news story or have a question about a major social work news story.

For local authorities

Contact us on 020 7024 6850 if you work in a local authority press team and need advice on managing media relations regarding an emerging social work news story in your locality.

For the public

The social work media centre works with journalists and local authority press teams. As a member of the public interested in social work you can visit The College of Social Work for detailed information.
