The goal of the Social Work Media Centre is to make sure that the social work point of view is heard by the media. Increased engagement means that the public will have improved access to accurate, objective information about social work stories of the day.

The Media Centre provides journalists with what they need, when they need it when social work is in the news. From accurate information on a social work topic to a social worker or a social work expert for an interview or a feature article the social work media centre is the first port of call.

As well as being the first port of call for journalists and news desks when social work hits the headlines, the Media Centre works to support non-specialist news reporters when they are asked to cover social work stories.
